UPS

UPS is a kind of equipment which can purify current and provide electricity to computers while the power is off. It can help equipment operate for a while during blackout.

Almost all uninterruptible power supply equipment can protect computers from the damage caused by unstable high or low voltage. As a result of this feature, UPS is widely applicable to telecommunications, national defense, hospitals, computer terminals, servers, network devices, data storage devices, etc.

There are three types of UPS for your choice, that is, online UPS, off line UPS and line-interactive UPS. Their differences are specified as follows.

Off Line UPS
Off Line UPS can provide the load with anti high frequency interference stabilized voltage supply whether commercial power supply is normal or not.

However, off line UPS starts only during blackout. So it must have a circuit which enables UPS to start within five microseconds.

Off Line UPS is not suitable for applications requiring high quality of power supply.

Online UPS
Online UPS can offer electric power to computers day and night. Due to no switching time, it can offer electricity to the computer immediately. Moreover, it also can provide electric power to the computer while external power is out of work.

Online UPS can provide the computer with constant electricity. As a result, it is widely applicable to finance, stock, and telecommunication industries.

However, online UPS is much more expensive than off line UPS.

Line-interactive UPS
Line-interactive UPS has features of high working efficiency and high quality of power supply. However, its property of frequency stabilization is not ideal. Therefore, line-interactive UPS is not suitable to be used as delayed UPS power supply.
